About Tina

Tina has more than 26 years of experience as a fitness coach and instructor of private and group fitness classes. She was formally trained in China, and holds National Level Certifications for Gymnastics, Acrobatics, Aerobics, Ballet, and Wushu and other Martial Arts, and Teaching Sports and Health. 

She began formal gymnastics training in her hometown Xi'An, China, when she was only five years old. At twelve, she became a member of China's National Gymnastics Team, and at seventeen joined the National Acrobatics Team. She won more than twenty gold and silver medals in national competitions. When she was nineteen, Tina was accepted into the prestigious Beijing Sport University. During her studies there, she began teaching aerobics, dance (ballet, hip-hop, Latin, Zumba), yoga, pilates, floor exercise, tai chi, qi gong, wushu, and balance at various youth and adult fitness centers around Beijing. 

In 1997, Tina received her Bachelor's degree in Physical Education and Sports Training, and began teaching at the elite Beijing 21st Century International School. She spent 18 years there as a full-time instructor (of ballet and other dance forms, gymnastics, aerobics, yoga, tai chi, qi gong, and kung fu) before moving to the U.S.

Since 2015, Tina has been teaching private and group fitness classes at various venues in the Davis/Woodland Area, including the Peregrine school, Rancho Yolo Senior Community, Carlton Senior Living/Woodland Senior Center, City of Davis Gymnastics & Dance Center, Davis Diamonds, and UC Davis.
