Children's Dance Program

Children's rhythmic dance, ballet, jazz, Latin, hip-hop, Asian and Western folk dances . . . Tina has been teaching children to dance since 1993 and is happy to share her dance knowledge, skills and experience with children. Every child is different and has individual needs that deserve attention and care. Tina's goal is to help each child reach their full potential through dance, preparing them for future success.

Dance is a great choice for your child's health and well-being, and Tina's classes are suitable for kids of all ages. Your child may not want to become a professional dancer, but they can reap many benefits from attending Tina's dance class once or twice a week, including:

Improved Physical Health

Children's dance classes enhance cardiopulmonary function and muscle tone, and are a great way to improve physical flexibility, coordination, balance and motor skills. Dancing supports general physical development, helps children maintain a healthy weight, and bolsters the immune system.

Improved Mental Health

Dance is the expression of inner emotion through expressive movement, so participation in dance classes helps children learn a healthy and appropriate outlet for feelings. Learning how to work with other students to practice choreography also fosters a sense of social connection that supports mental health, and mastering new techniques and vocabulary build's a child's self-esteem.

Improved Self-Control

Dance classes offer an opportunity for children to practice self-discipline, focus, and concentration. To learn choreography, a child necessarily practices listening and following instructions. Working with other students also reinforces consideration and respect for others.
